Maintenance
One big advantage of a well constructed deck is low maintenance.
- Brushing way dried leaves and generally keeping clean.
- Place plant pots into waterproof trays and move regularly to ensure even colour and no rings
- Fit plastic or rubber feet to furniture that you feel may mark or scratch the deck.
-
If left for a prolonged period of time, all timber will eventually turn a silvery grey; this can be avoided if required by periodically treating your deck with decking oil, silicone water repellent or a proprietary decking stain. This will not extend the life of your deck but will keep it looking in pristine condition.
- Once a year thoroughly clean the deck with a high pressure hose.
- Alternatively “Decking4Less” can arrange a service and maintenance agreement.
